Set during the 2020 Covid pandemic, a ghost documents the change to their everyday life. With everyone locked indoors and no-one around to haunt the ghost begins to long for everything to go back to normal.

Scarelough was filmed in 2021 in Belfast City Centre. Using an old bed sheet and some tights, I was able to create the Ghost. Scarelough was a play on furlough payments, a payment workers were receiving during the pandemic. I used this platform to speak about my own personal feelings regarding the pandemic through this humorous narrative of a ghost feeling lonely with no one to scare.

Scarelough was the first film I ever made, it taught me a lot about filmmaking and from this I found myself enjoying the process. I didn’t think I could be a filmmaker but this helped me to try to achieve it.
